A Love Note for the Heart

It is said that every minute a woman's life is lost to the silent killer, heart attack. The American Heart Association is celebrating the 10th Anniversary of "Wear Red for Women" on Friday, February 7th. This is a campaign to make us aware of the early signs of heart disease and to bring to mind the importance of beginning and practicing good health habits.

We can start with getting more active. Begin a routine which includes walking on a path which could lead to a heart healthy lifestyle.

When you see someone wearing red on Friday, think of someone's mother, sister or friend who may have been lost to heart disease and think of all the ones that may be saved because of the efforts of the American Heart Association and this campaign.
